Free Cinema Tickets

Free Cinema Tickets

Would you like to go to cinema for free?

Looking for free cinema tickets ? Well look no further (of if you like to have a complicated-sado-maso life feel free to leave)

I managed to found the best offer/occasion/you name it to get a hold of two cinema tickets almost free of charge!

Yup i said almost cos you’ll need to follow few simple steps once you reach the “occasion page”. (i like to call it “occasion page” – dont know why)

Anyway the procedure is very simple really. Follow this instructions and you should be soon jumping left and right with big-ass smile all the way to cinema entrance :D (if that your style that is)

Ok hold on to your sexy sporty butts (hey am optimistic!)

  • Step 1. Go to the occasion page CLICK HERE
  • Step 2. Read what it said on the page. (below) I said it’s free and it is! If you read thoughtfully you’ll notice the part when it says “You can receive the gift at no cost by completing free trial Sponsor Offers and/or by following the Refer-A-Friend program requirements” And that how i got my tickets for free.
  • Step 3. If you’re cool with everything enter your email and hit continue.
  • Step 4. Follow the instructions “inside”

And that’s it! Easy peasy lemon …splash! :)

As of now i got two of those completed . One by me and one by my friend who gave me the card.

Me and my husband went to see Avatar with first one and Kung Fu Panda 2 with second :)   Avatar definitely needs cinema screen to be fully enjoyed.  Panda 2 was ok. I really liked the bad guys this time. Really well created characters.

Well what to say more – get your free tickets to cinema and ruuuuuuun bi…ehem – just run.

And if we are on theme – why not mention two interesting facts :)

1.) Love

Sometimes couples go to a movie theater for the additional reason that it provides the possibility of intimacy, where the dark provides some privacy (with additional privacy in the back-row). This kind of intimacy is considered by some a lesser form of public display of affection. Compared with being together in a room without other people, it may also be reassuring for one or both of the couple (and for parents) that the intimacy is necessarily limited.

Many cinemas have “seats of love“: seats for two without an armrest in the middle.

In most of today’s cinemas the armrest is movable in whole cinema. Usually when down it can serve as cup holder, and when up it facilitate the first magical kiss :)

You can even find cinemas with sofas for that precise purpose!

2.)Loud Eating

When there is cinema there is food. And where is food there are people. People eating loud!

While this may seems unbelievable a man in Latvia, during the Black Swan projection in February 2011 was shot for eating his popcorn too loud. Holy Cow!

How to annoy people in Cinema:

My favorite good-bad pair

My favorite good-bad pair

When Arthur Penn’s Thirties-set gangster movie first appeared in 1967 it was like a breath of fresh air in the American cinema, (though to be fair, on hindsight, the American cinema in the previous few years, particularly in the Independent sector, wasn’t doing too badly). Still, Penn’s movie seemed to break new ground and not just in it’s depiction of violence. It had a lyrical intensity that belonged more to the French New Wave, (and at one time Truffaut’s name was associated with the project), and, in that it took back to the American cinema the trappings that the French had originally borrowed in films like “A Bout De Soufflé” and “Shoot the Pianist”, seemed to square the circle.

BONNIE AND CLYDE FBI FAMOUS CASES

Clyde Champion Barrow and his companion, Bonnie Parker, were shot to death by officers in an ambush near Sailes, Bienville Parish, Louisiana on May 23, 1934, after one of the most colorful and spectacular manhunts the nation had seen up to that time….read more on fbi page

In the intervening years it has fallen somewhat out of fashion. It now almost seems quaintly old-fashioned, it’s form more classically structured and narratively driven than might first appeared. But there are virtues that have largely been overlooked. Like “The Graduate” which came out in the same year, it is a young person’s film yet it burns with a fierce intelligence that is conspicuously absent from similar films today. I suppose you could say the film has a pop-art sensibility, (a close-up of Faye Dunaway’s face, lips burning bright red, could come from a Lichtenstein poster), and its cast seem unnaturally young, (only Beatty had established a persona for himself at the time; the others had yet to establish a reputation), but they became stars because of it. (Gang members Parsons and Pollard didn’t make the leap; they were character actors from the start). Arguably you could say Beatty, Dunaway, Hackman, Parsons and Pollard were never to better their work here. They may have equalled it but their performances were definitive.

Arthur Penn, too, was never to make another movie as good. The film’s extraordinary critical and popular success gave Penn the freedom to tackle ‘weightier’ material, but “Little Big Man” and “Georgia’s Friends” now seem misguided attempts at solemnity, while even his brilliant western “The Missouri Breaks” seems to succeed more for it’s oddness rather than it’s originality. Perhaps “Bonnie and Clyde” was a one-off though it did spawn an awful lot of break-neck thrillers and up-dated film-noirs, and was more responsible for the baby-boom in movies in the seventies than “Easy Rider” which followed it two years later. It remains a film ripe for reassessment.

What was the First color movie ?

What was the First color movie ?

I think i will never find the truth as anywhere i go i get a different answer. I gathered few good ones here :

The first modern (‘integrated tri-pack’) color film, Kodachrome, was introduced in 1935 based on three colored emulsions. Most modern color films, except Kodachrome, are based on technology developed for Agfacolor (as ‘Agfacolor Neue’) in 1936. (In this newer technology, chromogenic dye couplers are already within the emulsion layers, rather than having to be carefully diffused in during development.) Instant color film was introduced by Polaroid in 1963.

I have often heard ‘The Wizard of Oz’ announced as the first film of color, but perhaps this is only due to its popularity and the fact that it was ONE of the first.

Without a doubt, most movie buffs will know that the first ‘talkie’ was Al Jolson’s “The Jazz Singer”. However, the first color movie is a little more obscure. The most well-known movies to use color were “The Wizard of Oz” and “Gone With the Wind”, both from 1939.

However, pre-dating those classics by more than 20 years was a 1918 silent film called “Cupid Angling”. This is the accepted ‘first’ color feature-length film, and is also the oldest listed on IMDB as color. IMDB also has heaps of color shorts which predate even this, the earliest listed is from 1902. The actual first filming process was called Kinemacolor, and was invented in 1908 by a Brit named Charles Urban. The more well-known Technicolor corporation was founded in 1918. Prior to 1908, the ‘color’ movies produced were with hand-tinted frames painted by color artists.

BlockBuster Closing Stores

Dish, the satellite TV company, said today in a statement that it will continue to operate “more than 1,500 U.S. Blockbuster stores,” but added that “despite our efforts to reach reasonable terms, some property owners have closed stores.”

In April, Dish paid $320 million for Blockbuster as part of a bankruptcy auction, one of the many humiliations the once-dominant video rental company has had to suffer in recent years. Dish wouldn’t say exactly how many stores would close but it could be as many as 200. Blockbuster’s assets included 1,700 stores at the time of the auction.

Netflix is probably the most responsible for sending Blockbuster to the bottom. Netflix out-performed Blockbuster in delivery by offering to mail DVDs to customers’ homes. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings then delivered the coup de grace by building out a streaming service that made even a walk to the mailbox to obtain a movie an unnecessary chore.

Dish is now looking for a way to revive the company and presumably got a little boost when Netflix stirred resentment with thousands of customers by announcing a price hike last week. On the heels of that announcement, Blockbuster offered Netflix customers a free 30-day trial of one of two subscription plans, neither of which offer streaming.

As the store closures illustrate, Dish has a long way to go to bring back Blockbuster.

DirecTv Cheating Clients ?

DirecTv Cheating Clients ?

These days a lot of companies are resorting to unethical means of business, which is simply not the right approach of trading. One such satellite TV provider in the United States of America, DirecTV also followed malpractices to drive huge customer base in California as well as in other states of the country. Due to its unfair means of business, several lawsuits have been filed against it, which has levied a fine of massive $13.25 million plus restitution for the grieved in full.

However, it seems to have no effect on this satellite TV giant. So, tell me, as a common man, would you allow such a gigantic company to go against the standard business rules and practices and mislead its subscribers? Certainly not! We are the voice of nation and should surely stand against such companies like DirecTV, who are trying to cheat on their clients following deceptive promotions, advertisements, and marketing strategies making futile promises.

DirecTV Review

Needless to say that if companies continue with their scams, then there would be nothing called ‘fair businesses’ in this world. The business tycoons, directors and other executives would try to goof up things as much as possible based on their position, power and capabilities. Things would go haywire and consumers would be left with nothing to rely on. They will be the ultimate losers and sufferers. So, these scams should be stopped immediately by raising our voices against it.

Shockingly, this DirecTV, an El Segundo-based Californian company enjoyed a huge database of subscribers of about over 1 million in California and over 18 million in other states. Then it is difficult to find out the reasons that led this company to follow unfair means of doing business. Probably, it could only be assessed that the company wanted to enjoy a wider market share and be the No.1 in the US as a satellite TV provider.

But for just mere bucks, the company has played with the sentiments of its subscribers, who are now determined to switch providers. They have lodged several complaints with the Attorney Generals of their state and want immediate action. Most of their grievances revolve around billing issues, early termination fees, hidden fees, increase of contract without information, additional charges, additions of credits to their bills, unclear terms and conditions, and loads more.

Let’s take an example from its recent scheme, which informs consumers to save $150 and according to DirecTV it falls under its subscriber retention policy. From this scheme, we can make out that the company can very well offer nominal fee package to its subscribers openly, but it is not doing so. Rather, when it feels threat of losing its customers who call up for discontinuing its services, DirecTV offers instant cash credits to them. So, what do you have to say now for it’s this superficial scheme? Simple, they are fooling their customers. Therefore, it is high time to stand strongly against any company who is scamming things.

How to Install a Satellite Dish DIY

Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Satellite TV Installation

Here’s how to install a satellite TV system yourself:

First, mount your satellite dish on a south-facing wall, or on your roof, within 100 cable-feet of your TV. Choose a location where there are no obstructions such as trees or tall buildings.

If you live in an apartment or condo complex and aren’t allowed to mount your dish on a wall or roof, you can mount it inside, or on your balcony, using a stand which can be ordered from your satellite TV dealer.

After installing your satellite TV dish, run the cable through your house walls to the rooms where you have your TVs, then ground your dish, and caulk all the holes you made in your walls.

Hooking up your satellite TV consists of connecting the cable to your satellite TV receivers, then connecting your receiver to the nearest telephone jack. Follow the wiring diagram that came with your satellite TV equipment package.

Now go to your satellite TV provider’s signal strength menu on your satellite TV receiver to get the correct azimuth (direction), elevation (angle),  and skew (dish rotation) for your location so your can correctly aim your dish.

Using the signal strength menu, a compass, and a friend to monitor the signal strength menu on your TV, point your dish in the right direction and move it slowly up and down until you obtain maximum signal strength. Be patient as this may take awhile.

Finally, you’ll need to contact your satellite TV provider to activate your system.

Note: If you’re going to install your satellite TV system yourself, we recommend purchasing a satellite TV installation kit from your dealer which comes with all the necessary hardware plus an installation guide.

If your property is governed by a home owner’s association, check their restrictions before you install a satellite TV system. If you’re a renter, get written permission from your landlord.

Bottom Line

Unless you’re handy with a variety of tools and enjoy tinkering with electronic equipment, professional satellite TV installation is the recommended way to go.

Why do it yourself when you can do it for free?

Netflix Scratched DVDs

Netflix Scratched DVDs

When I first joined Netflix two years ago, I discovered that many of my rentals wouldn’t play on my 4-year-old Mintek DVD player. I found a new DVD player at Sam’s Club for $89, with progressive scanning, and it did the trick. I experience very few DVDs that are so damaged they won’t play. In fact, I’ve reported only 3 damaged in the last three months. I average about 15 rentals per month from Netflix.

However, Netflix ships millions of DVDs each day to millions of people. It is inevitable that some of them will be worn out. The “life-expectancy” of a typical rental DVD is only about 20 rentals, and then it must be replaced.

I’m assuming you’re using their Web site to report damaged DVDs every time it happens. They will send you a replacement DVD right away. However, calling customer service about damaged DVDs won’t do any good. The best and fastest way for them to find out a DVD is worn out is when customers tell them through their Web site. They’ve fixed it so that you can report a damaged DVD even after you’ve returned it and Netflix has received it. Their sophisticated tracking system will alert them the next time they have the disc, so they can either repair or replace it.

To report a damaged disc, go to your account, to the Rental Activity section, and click on Report Problem.

From the Netflix Help site:

Q: I received a scratched, damaged, or unplayable DVD. What do I do?
A: If you have received a DVD title that is unplayable, try cleaning the disc first. (window cleaner on a paper towel works well.) If the disc is cracked, damaged, or still won’t play, you can report it at the Rental Activity page in Your Account.

Please return the damaged disc, as many damaged discs can be repaired with our polishing machine. Also, for many titles, Netflix must account for, or pay the movie studio for lost discs; your return of the damaged disc is appreciated, and helps keep costs low for all our customers.”
